Health is a journey not a destination

Now that you have been a patient at our office for some time, you are probably noticing improvements in how you feel, and how your body is functioning. Every little improvement is a success that you should be proud of, because it means you have had the dedication and commitment to achieve new levels of health.

You may also notice that your body is still changing and adapting, and maybe you still experience some of your old symptoms from time to time. All of this is perfectly normal too. Symptoms take time to develop, and they also take time to heal. Ninety-nine percent of our patients' progress is based on two things: one, appointment attendance and home care consistency, and two, the amount of damage prior to treatment. Some damage can be so extensive that it results in permanent damage and a lifelong battle to contain and fix the problem.

Regardless, the key is to take your health from where it is now and take it to the next level. Your heath is either moving forward or backwards; it never stays the same. At the end of your current care plan, your doctor will re-asses your progress and determine what needs to be done in order for you to get to that next level in health.

It is important to understand that health is a journey, not a destination. We must continue to invest time, money, and energy into our health if we want it to last a lifetime. To do this it is vital that you remain committed to your doctor's recommendations. Continue to make your appointments as scheduled, and remember to do your home rehab as required. It is also recommended that you fully engage in our workshops and classes each month, as they can literally change your life with new knowledge. Go the extra mile and help your friends and loved ones by bringing them to our dinners and workshops, and make sure your entire family is checked at our office.

The simple truth is that a long, healthy, happy life requires commitment to maintaining and taking care of your spine and nervous system. If you don't, you are choosing to allow your problems to get worse, as well as opening the door for more disease, sickness, drugs, surgery, and hundreds of thousands of dollars wasted in time and money. It's all up to you. What do you want for your journey?

Yours in health,
